  1. We should all know how important content is in the marketing strategy of a business. You have probably read it a few times in this blog: content is king. And a king without a plan will most definitely fail. You need to work on a strategy for your content if you want to see good results. As a business owner, checking your SEO content team’s strategy should be one of your priorities. However, there’s a simpler way to assess your content’s performance aside from looking at the (sometimes) overwhelming metrics and data. This article will give you a simple go-to checklist for evaluating the quality of your content team’s work.

  2. Quick Recall! In my introductory article for the content marketing strategy, I differentiated the following terms: Content marketing strategy -The “why”. -It aims to provide answers to questions like “Why are you creating content or why are they your target audience?” -This is used to achieve profitable results like increased revenue, lowered costs, or better customers. Content strategy -The “how”. -It needs to answer questions like “How the creation, publication, and organisation of content is managed?” -This is a strategy for managing content used for profitable results plus all other content. Content plan -The “what”. -It should answer questions like “what topics will be covered, what content will be created, what platform will it be published on” and more. -This documents the specifics of your strategy.

  3. However, most people use “content marketing strategy” as the encompassing term for the three. It is simpler and easier that way. Semrush listed six quick questions for evaluating your content marketing strategy: Is your strategy based on the data? Are there defined and documented objectives for the strategy and individual content? Is there a documented distribution strategy? Does the content have a relevant buyer persona? Is content built on specific audience needs? Is the content’s tone of voice or readability appropriate for your audience? If your answer to this six questions is “yes”, it means your team is doing good work. If there’s at least one “no” to these questions, you need to know why and work on the strategy with the team. Follow this guideline and your content marketing strategy will be a success!
