  1. Understanding Communion

  2. Luke 22 : 13 - 21 13So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. 14When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. 15Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; 16for I say to you, I will no

  3. Luke 22 : 13 - 21 longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; 18for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 19And He took bread, gave

  4. Luke 22 : 13 - 21 thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”20Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

  5. Isaiah 53 : 1 - 6 1Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?2For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we seeHim, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.

  6. Isaiah 53 : 1 - 6 3He is despised and rejected by men,a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.4Surely He has borne our griefsand carried our sorrows;Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.5But He waswounded

  7. Isaiah 53 : 1 - 6 for our transgressions,He was bruised for our iniquities;the chastisement for our peace was upon Him,and by His stripes we are healed.6All we like sheep have gone astray;we have turned, every one, to his own way;and the  Lordhas laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

  8. I Corinthians 11 : 23 - 30 23For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread 24and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

  9. I Corinthians 11 : 23 - 30 25In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till

  10. I Corinthians 11 : 23 - 30 He comes. 27Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.  29For he who eats and drinks

  11. I Corinthians 11 : 23 - 30 in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.
