Join the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) in the Early Phase Input Opportunity on November 10, 2004. Engage in a four-phase process focusing on Transportation Planning, including stakeholder workshops, early phase open houses, and community events like the Arizona State Fair and Fiesta Glendale. Your feedback is vital to address concerns about regional Dial-a-Ride systems, light rail, and transportation coordination with Pinal County. Contact Jason Stephens (MAG Public Involvement Planner) at (602) 452-5004 or jstephens@mag.maricopa.gov for more information.

EARLY PHASE INPUT OPPPORTUNITY Management Committee November 10, 2004
Four-Phase Process • Early Phase • Mid Phase • Final Phase • Continuous Involvement
Input Opportunities • TGR Workshop and Early Phase Open House and Stakeholders Meeting • MAG at the Mall • Arizona State Fair • Fiesta Glendale! • Hispanic Women’s Conference • Gilbert’s So Long to Summer Fest
Summary of Questions/Comments • We need a regional Dial-a-Ride system • Is light rail going to increase pollution and congestion in the Valley? • Will the new South Mountain Freeway go through the reservation? • We need the 303 completed. • We need the bus system improved. • Will light rail follow the freeways? • We need to coordinate our (Maricopa County’s) transportation system with whatever Pinal County is doing. • I’m from Chicago and they have a great train system there. I can’t wait until we get one here. • Will I be able to transfer from the bus to the light rail with the same ticket? • Is there going to be an overpass at 59th Ave. and Glendale? • Light rail will be too slow to be effective. • I don’t agree with how Grand Avenue was reconstructed. • I’m happy to see bus service is going to triple.
