  4. Current position • Quality Assurance license is extended to March 2016 only -12 months to go; • Accreditation continues but capped at 2016; • The current learnership regulation has not changed; • Provision continues as normal;

  5. STATUS OF TRAINING PROVISION The Qualifications which are not performing would not be renewed Existing qualifications The accreditation of Skills Development providers- initiated. Current accreditation status The new registration process of practitioners is expected to be initiated by AQP. Status of assessors and moderators

  6. Monitoring of provision • The re-accreditation capped at March 2016; • Providers need to improve quality management systems; • system reminder of accreditation to be adhered to; • System challenge in reprinting reaccreditation certificates and delays; • QCTO visits to providers.

  13. CHALLENGES • Replacement of legacy NQF qualifications – on going • QCTO not on board with systems and structural progress- slow; • To and fro movements of qualification development; • Lack of QCTO capacity to advance implementation; • Learnership regulations not adjusted to new plans.
