  2. 47. futile • [Fyoot-l,fyoo-tahyl] • Adjective • Not able to bring up any results; useless • The reason I have this picture up is because it is somewhat funny and if you look at the sentence in it then in a way you can see the word in it. • 1.The attempt to attack his enemy was futile. • 2.Trying to force-feed an animal is futile. • 3.The toy mom bought for Dan was futile.
