  4. President Membership Protocol 1. Sign up on UH MAES google form: uh.edu/maesclick on membership 2. Pay $10 semester dues, cash to officer or credit on paypal 3.Sign up on National MAES database: mymaes.org using the free membership coupon purchased by UH MAES Get free UH MAES Tshirt

  5. President MAES Elections Nov 13th is nominations: Sheet is up front Nov 27 is elections: only paid members may vote Lots of committee members and chairs needed!

  6. President President Shall be the official representative of the Society and shall preside over general meetings and meetings of the Executive Board. Shall be in charge of fulfilling chapter goals and setting the agendas. Shall be in charge of leading the executive board.

  7. Vice President Operations Shall be responsible for facilitating member’s accessibility to adequate facilities. Shall be responsible for the accessibility of information to members and of members. Shall be responsible for keeping the website up to date. Shall be responsible for leading the Operations Committee. • Webmaster • Listerv

  8. Secretary Shall be responsible for all record keeping including meeting minutes. Shall be responsible for promoting the society. Shall be responsible for the Publicity committee. • Publicity Committee Chair (3-6 members) • News Committee Chair • (2-5 members)

  9. Vice President Events Shall be responsible coordinating chapter’s presence in conferences Shall be responsible for social, academic, professional development events. Shall be responsible for leading the Events Committee • Tailgate Committee Chair (3-6 members) • Social Committee Chair • (2-5 members)Academic Committee Chair • (2-5 members)

  10. Vice President Outreach Shall be responsible for the recruitment of a diverse membership. Shall be responsible for coordinating outreach events. Shall be responsible for leading the Outreach Committee. • Science Extravaganza Committee Chair(3-6 members) • Booker T Washington Chapter Committee chair • (2-5 members)General Outreach Committee Chair • (2-5 members)
