Problem Statement • Pre-Project exercise was none at all which leads to high stress levels and low self esteem. • Overweight by 15 pounds according to the Body Composition Analysis. • Skipping exercise and eating a high fat diet leads to consistent weight gain and an increase for Type 2 Diabetes.

  3. Project Plan • Process Owner: Fiancé • Time Line: 4 weeks (O9/09/03 – 10/07/03) • Goals: • To increase and sustain daily exercise by going to the gym at least 3 times a week. • To lose 10 pounds. • To develop a permanent change to my weight by exercising.

  4. Being Prepared: No excuses for not exercising. Always pack gym bag the night before and place in the car. Leaving work on time. Sleeping better so that more energy is available to exercise. Combining a variety of group exercises including boot camp, spinning, yoga and pilates. Improved athletic performance. What Contributes To Exercise?

  5. Identify Areas of Intervention • Vary exercise activity. • Pack gym bag the night before so that exercise can be done immediately after work. • Leaving work on time and and arrive on time. • Not eating out dinner so often.

  12. Results • In the first Time Between Charts, there was not a failure however the process must be continued to see more results. • Average minutes exercised increased from 0 minutes per day to 58 minutes a day. • Weight decreased by 5.4 pounds during a one month time period.
