The Peacock Lane team, led by members Elise King, Caitlin Greeney, Beverly Raposa, and Julius Raposa, under the guidance of Dr. Yamayee and Dr. Albright, has made significant progress on the Sun Tracking Solar Array project. Key milestones include the completion of design documents, finalization of the budget, and ordering of essential components. Our future goals involve programming reviews and ensuring the functionality of the Arduino microcontroller. Current challenges include power sourcing for components and optimizing photoresistor designs. For more information, visit our project blog.

Milestones Completed Minor: • Design Document v0.9 Nov 3 • Design Document v0.95 Nov 8 Major: • Budget Finalized Nov 10 • Design Document v1.0 Nov 17 • All Parts Ordered Nov 29 (due) (Completed Nov 10)
Additional Accomplishments • Addressed voltage and current restrictions in using LabView • Design Decisions: Stepper Motors
The Near Future Minor Milestones: • January Program Review Jan 24 Major Milestones: • All Parts Received Jan 17 • Arduino Microcontroller FunctionalJan 24
Proof of Concept Step Down Circuit • Solar panel rated at 12V with a load • LabView can only take 10V
Issues/Concerns • Power Source for Arduino and Motors • Have separate sources to reduce wire tangling or overloading • Which photoresistor design? • Test both configurations and select the most accurate
