  1. Times of India Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd owned and published The Times of India, an Indian English-language daily newspaper in the year 1838. The Times of India is the third largest circulated newspaper as per Audit Bureau of Circulations (India). The newspaper also ranks first position in selling segment globally in the English newspaper category and is the most trusted brand too. The Economic Times; Navbharat Times; Maharashtra Times; EiSamay; Mumbai Mirror and many more are the sister newspapers of The Times of India.

  2. The Telegraph In the year 7th July 1982, The Telegraph, an Indian English daily newspaper was founded and published in Kolkata since then. The newspaper has been published by ABP Group and stand as the main competitor with The Times of India. The Telegraph has many editions which covers Kolkata, South Bengal, North Bengal, Northeast edition (Guwahati split), Jharkhand edition (Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and Ranchi splits), Patna and Bhubaneshwar.

  3. AnandabazarPatrika AnandabazarPatrika which belongs to the ABP Group is the largest Bengali language daily newspaper of India and is published in Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai and Silchar. TusharkantiGhose and his father Sisir Kumar Ghose published this newspaper in the year 1876 in a small village of Magura at Jessore District in British India (now Bangladesh). The newspaper was first named as Anandabazar after Tusharkanti's grandmother's sister Anandomayee. However, the newspaper did not work and had to be stopped. Later, in 1886, Mr.Ghose published another newspaper as Amrita Bazar Patrika which was named after his grandmother Amritamoyee. However, in the year 1922, proprietor Suresh Chandra Majumdar and Editor Prafulla Kumar Sarkarrelaunched the newspaper as AnandabazarPatrika. The newspaper as a four-page evening daily was first printed and published against British rule on 13th March 1922 under their ownership.

  4. EiSamay EiSamaySangbadpatra from The Times Group is a Bengali-language broadsheet daily newspaper. The newspaper is owned and published by Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. which is owned by the Sahu Jain family. The motive behind launching this newspaper is to enter into a head to head competition with AnandabazarPatrika.

  5. Bartaman In the year 1984, Bartaman newspaper, an Indian Bengali daily newspaper was founded and is published from Kolkata, West Bengal, India by BartamanPvt. Ltd. The newspaper has three other simultaneous editions other than Kolkata edition and is published daily from three major towns of West Bengal - Siliguri, Burdwan and Midnapore. Bartaman is one of the most widely circulated Bengali newspapers in India.

The newspaper covers all the news, be it local, national or international under one roof for its reader in West Bengal.

  7. Aajkal In the year 1981, Abhik Kumar Ghosh started the newspaper Aajkal which is a well known bengali daily. The evening edition of the newspaper has been named as SandhyaAajkaal. The newspaper is one of the very rare dailies which do not publish astrological predictions. The newspaper is mainly published in a wide circulation from Kolkata, Siliguri and its Tripura edition is published from Agartala.

  8. Sanmarg Sanmarg meaning 'the righteous path' a hindi newspaper was founded by Swami Karpatri in 1946. The newspaper is located in Kolkata and published in Varanasi, Kolkata, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar. Sanmarg is the most read hindi newspaper in the eastern part of the country especially in West Bengal.

  9. PrabhatKhabar PrabhatKhabar is a Hindi language newspaper and was founded in August 1984 in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The newspaper is published daily in Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal and is circulated in several states in India, including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and some parts of Orissa.
