  1. ThursdayMay 1, 2014Bellwork #3: Create your own sentence using SNAMMA (look at my wall for help!). You must use a different SNAMMA word than “some”. Let’s add some AWSOME sentences to our wall! Some of the clashes rip through the night like a bass line vibrating massive speakers.

  2. You have 20 min. to work on your art in class. I have your paper, and you must use your own pencil/pen/art supplies. REMEMBER: it MUST be in black and white.

  3. Freeze-Frame/Tableau • a silent, motionless depiction of a scene. A convention in which members of a group use their bodies to make an image or picture capturing an idea, theme, or moment in time, also called a group sculpture, freeze frame, still image, or picture window. Use the following to make one: • Display a character's sense of excitement, anticipation, suspense, and other emotions with exaggerated facial expressions, gesture, and body position. • Create some level of physical tension between characters • Arrange their bodies in appropriate positions to create a "frozen moment in time." This should be frozen action

  4. Tableaus should answer the following questions (the 5 Ws): 1-Who are the characters? 2-Where are the characters? 3- Why did they come together? 4-When did the characters come together? 5- What is happening to these characters and what will happen to these characters next?

  5. Now… let’s see them  • Those of you in the audience will identify the 5 Ws as they appear in each tableau, along with any other discoveries about the text made through observation of the tableau. • I want to take pictures!

  6. MyOn and Kidblog 1) Kidblog first: Finish your story with an alternate ending from either the perspective of the Highwayman or Bess 2) “Words, Wit, and Wonder” book
