What is a lipid? • What is a lipid? • A fat molecule that doesn’t like water (Hydrophobic) • ie: water fearing
Cell Membrane • The cell membrane or plasma membrane is made up of a phospholipid bilayer. • Phospholipids are lipids with a phosphate group attached to them. • Proteins are embedded in the membrane.
