  1. HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVITIES OVER THE NEXT WEEK YOU WILL HAVE TIME IN CLASS TO PREPARE A FIVE MINUTE GROUP PRESENTATION WHICH RESPONDS TO ONE OF THE STATEMENTS ON THE NEXT SLIDES. YOUR GROUP PRESENTATION MUST INCLUDE ALL GROUP MEMBERS CANNOT EXCEED FIVE MINUTES NEEDS TO PRESENT AN EDUCATED RESPONSE TO YOUR CHOSEN QUESTION.

  2. OPTION ONE: Based on the Universal Human Rights should individual countries have the right to choose whether they execute a person for a crime?

  3. OPTION TWO: Is abortion a Human Rights issue?

  4. OPTION THREE: Is it the Government’s role to censor websites and material on the internet they deem inappropriate?

  5. OPTION FOUR: Should all women be given access to education no matter what their culture/religion stipulates?

  6. OPTION FIVE: At what age does childhood end? Should there be specific rights about the length of childhood and age of marriage?

  7. OPTION SIX: Do you have an issue that you would love to discuss that hasn’t been offered? Discuss an alternative with your teacher to present with your group.

  9. OPTION SEVEN: BUT I prefer to work alone? If you would like an option where you work by yourself then you can choose to write a 750 word opinion piece article, based on one of the first five options, for an online newspaper – such as: www.news.com.au, www.smh.com.au, www.dailytelegraph.com.au or www.theaustralian.com.au
