The signs will feature large Dari or Pashto text with English subtitles, prominently display national figures, and foster a sense of local ownership.   2. Overview The Afghanistan Engineer District(s) will implement Afghan-centric standard construction site signage at project sites outside of coalition bases throughout the country. The improved signage will support the emerging national and provincial governments of Afghanistan. Example of a previously used sign Graphic of standard sign to be adopted

Objectives The standardized sign design will: • Help better reach the Afghan audience • Highlight new ANSF facilities, roads and other infrastructure development projects • Showcase the Afghan national and provincial governments’ leadership and participation in delivering infrastructure projects • Bolster a national and provincial perspective for the traditionally tribal populace

  4. Signage Details 1.8 meters wide Afghanistan Government and ministry seals Text in large Dari or Pashtun type with smaller English subtitles Colors of Afghanistan’s flag 1.2 meters high Prime contractor’s logo Description includes name of project, name of province and name of district Contract specifications available at: http://www.aed.usace.army.mil/construction.asp
