  4. Nature Walk March 21, 2011 • To begin the ecology unit you will collect information on the many items that are part of the O. Henry environment. • We will visit 4 locations on the school grounds. At each one, select items that are part of the environment. For each item selected complete a card with the following: • Name (if known) • shape •           texture •           color •           size •           sketch •           other distinguishing characteristics • You and your partner will create a total of 10 cards.

  5. Nature Walk Card Sort March 21, 2011 • Examine each of the cards you created. • With your partner, sort the cards into groups. Select your criteria to determine what types of groups you will use with your partner.

  6. HW – Science News Report March 21, 2011 • Create a news story about the things you saw outside today. Be sure to include a headline, the story, byline, and a graphic.
