  1. STEPS TO FOLLOW 1. Pick ONE of the four pictures in slides 6, 7, 8 and 9. 2. Write which picture you have chosen next to the Date. Example: Picture 1 * If you did not get a copy of the Outline or have lost it, you can print a new one. I have posted a copy of it in the F1D-English folder in our school’s website. 3. Complete your Outline about that picture. Read the next slide on HOW TO COMPLETE THE OUTLINE. 4. HOW TO COMPLETE THE OUTLINE • After choosing a picture, imagine that the person in the picture is someone you know. • For the BASIC INFORMATION: Name:You can choose a name you like Age:How old does that person look like in the picture? Relationship to that person: Is he/she your brother? Sister? Friend? Uncle? Etc. How long have you known him/her? How many weeks/months/years/etc.? General Impression: (1 sentence only) What kind of person is he/she? Example: He is a very kind person.*Please do not copy the example in GREEN.

  3. HOW TO COMPLETE THE OUTLINE 3. For the PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Height:How tall is he/she? Answer in cm. Ex: 150 cm. Weight:How heavy is he/she? Answer in kg. Ex: 60 kg. Skin colour:Ex. dark, light, fair, tanned, pale, etc. Eyes: What is the shape, and colour of his/her eyes? What he/she likes to wear: His/her favourite types of clothes. Ex. Casual clothes – jeans and T-shirt. For PERSONALITY - You have to give TWO CHARACTERISTICS and give TWO examples/reasons to show that characteristic. * For examples of characteristics go to: http://home.att.net/~teaching/litcircl/charact.pdf Characteristic: What kind of person is he? (Give one word) Ex: Generous (From the example of GENERAL IMPRESSION ‘KIND’ – slide 2) Reasons / Examples:This will explain what you mean. Ex: 1.He lends things to his younger brother. 2.He likes to give money to the beggars in the street. *Please do not copy the examples in GREEN.

  5. HOW TO COMPLETE THE OUTLINE 5. For the ENDING • You have to write your General Impression from your ‘Basic Information’ in another way. (1 sentence) Example: He is a kind person. (Slide 2, General Impression) WILL BECOME He is really one of the nicest people I know. (ENDING) • You can also add other things you want to end your compo nicely. Examples: • I wish he will be my friend forever / will stay the same / will become a successful person in the future. • I am happy / proud to be his friend. *Please do not copy the examples in GREEN.
