  2. To begin with • Emotions play a big role when it comes to the every day decisions we make. • You make fast decisions without thinking whether or not it is right or wrong.

What are emotions? • According to Dictionary.com emotions are “a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from ones circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.” • There are many different types of emotions • Happy • Sad • Mad • Excited • Ect. • These emotions effect the way you make decisions in any situation.

Antonio Damasio • Antonio is a researcher. • His biggest interest is neurobiology, the study of the nervous system, state of mind. • Antonio enjoys studying: • Sub serve memory • Language • Emotion • Decision-Making • Consciousness • Something he’s well known for is demonstrating how emotions effect decision making. • http://www.biosynthesis.org/html/antonio_damasio.html

  5. Examples of decision making • A studywas done by a man named Isen. He found out that people who are happy tend to not gamble as much so they can avoid losing the happiness they have. • When they were unhappy they would go out and gamble to get a joy of winning money. Logic and emotional decision-making • Logical decision making is when someone uses good reasoning behind their decision without including emotion. • Emotional decision making is typically made really fast.
