GAA Google Email • The GAA Google Email Solution was release in April 2009 • Why setup a new email solution • Old Email Server was antiquated and was not feasible to continue supporting and maintaining • New system was required with more capacity and that could cater for a more mobile solution to meet the growing needs for the association. • Better communication model to communicated to the different units of the association.

GAA Registration • It is a club membership management system that allows clubs to: -Register All Club Players -Register Full and Youth Members -Register Club Executive Committee -Generate Team Lists in Irish and English -Communicate by bulk text message and email -Record payment of fees in the club

  8. GAA Registration • System piloted in 7 counties in 2008 • Rolled out to a further 15 in 2009, remainder in 2010 • All Counties now at various stages of rollout • Over 220,000 members registered on system to date

GAA Registration Advantages • Will provide us with a database of players, members and officers • Will provide us with statistics on the no. of players, age groups etc. • Will facilitate better communication with members • Will allow us to investigate the issuing of membership cards • Will be a great aid to administration in the club

  12. Compulsory System • System Compulsory and must be used to complete 2010 registrations • Only full members registered on system before April 1st can vote at AGM later on in year • Clubs must register ALL players i.e. juvenile and adult • Players not registered are illegal to play

  13. Data Protection • Under no circumstances should a club pass the information held on the system to a third party – no matter what their reason for requesting it • This includes any commercial company • Club Registrars must not give their usernames and passwords to any other person • GAA will not be using any of the information on the system for anything other than the generation of statistics and administration
