3. INTRODUCTION • Techno IT Solutions is a newly formed company that provides business solutions. It specializes in developing custom software and web sites. Techno IT Solutions is formed by Information Technology students from Mangosuthu University of Technology who saw the need of capitalization on all opportunities to create an accessible, technologically-advanced and data-rich environment in order to manage time.

PHASE INTRODUCTION • Preliminary investigation - defined the problem - produced project schedule - confirmed the feasibility • Analysis Phase - gathered information * defined system requirements * prioritized those requirements - thus understanding in great detail the client’s needs - generated alternate solutions - reviewed recommendations with client

5. Design Phase • Specify in detail how the new system will work • with the assistance of: * ERD * DFD * Database design

6. Problem description • The TLS Head is still : - using the manual system to *track activities done by subject advisors • Thus : - consumes time - loss of records - consumption of space • The increase in the number of schools led to * increase in subjects, educators and subject advisors Which is the reason why he decided to instigate the new system (RTSS)

7. Business Benefits The benefits of the RTSS will be : - Eliminating time spent when - retrieving reports - counting reports - filing reports - storing reports

8. System Capabilities • For the system to provide these benefits, it will include the ffg capabilities: * provide precise information * track subject advisor reports * maintain an adequate database * increase reliability

45. CONCLUSION • This is the end of the Design phase. We have successfully completed the requirements of this phase, namely the Data-flow-diagram, Entity-relationship-diagram, Context diagram and Database design. • The next phase of our project is the Implementation phase, where we will install the new system, train the users and document the phase.
