Chapter 12 Notes • “When kings go off to war… David remained in Jerusalem,” (pg. 161). • It’s been about 10 years since the events in Ch. 11 • David has other concerns – mainly about himself • David & Bathsheba • David slept with Bathsheba – married to Uriah • Became pregnant • The punishment for an affair was death to both parties • What was David’s cover-up? • After his attempted cover-up failed, David put Uriah on the frontline and Uriah died. David married Bathsheba.
