Architecture • Many English churches were designed to have bits and pieces of earlier Saxon buildings • The churches had 2 different styles • In the South, the Roman model had incoporated chambers to the sides of aisle-less nave, and a apsidal on the east end. • In the North, they had simple designs featuring tall naves with no side chambers, and rectangular chancels.
