  2. Learning Outcomes • To recall social groups used in P3. • To describe patterns and trends in a social group. • To analyse the impact of the sociological perspectives on a social grouping.

  3. Assignment 3 – P3, M2, D1 Scenario The local government are so impressed with the work you have done that they have asked you to further investigate the social trends regarding health and illness in your locality and deliver this information to your colleagues. This will be done as a Powerpoint presentation!

  4. Starter: List the social groupings we discussed for p3! • Social class • Gender • Ethnicity • Age • Locality • Risk behaviour

  5. Read through the next 3 slides to prepare for the Rally Robin!

  6. Rally Robin • How many different patterns/trends can you report from risk behaviours? • E.g. Alcoholic liver disease increases death rate! • You will be asked a question to which there are a list of answers. • Take it in turns to state one of the answers.

  7. Challenge • Using the data given you must .... In groups create a presentation discussing the 7 different sociological perspectives in relation to patterns and trends of health and illness in one social group! For M2 you will need to discuss two social groups; SOCIAL CLASS & AGE

  8. Each table to present their Social Group to the class!
