  2. HACKNEYED • Unoriginal, not new

  3. ADHERENCE • Attachment; faithful support for a cause or political party or religion

  4. HERBICIDE • A substance that is toxic to plants and is used to destroy unwanted vegetation

  5. BEFOG • Cause to become confused

  6. COLLOQUIAL • Used in ordinary conversation; not formal or literary

  7. EGG • Urge or encourage someone to do something, esp. something foolish or risky

  8. CRUX • The decisive or most important point at issue

  9. BOLSTER • Support or strengthen

  10. CAMARADERIE • Mutual trust and friendship among people who spend a lot of time together

  11. AXIOM • A statement or proposition that is regarded as being established, accepted, or self-evidently true

  12. EXERCISE POINT VALUES • The exercises total up to 100 points. • The specific point values will be indicated on your exercise sheet.

  13. REWARDS • The passing grade to get the reward is 80%. • If you have any questions regarding the exercises or vocabulary words, please feel free to ask Ellie. • If you pass with the score 80% or above, you will have the option of choosing: • One Pokémon Card if completed on the day assigned. • If completed after the assigned day, no reward!
