  1. Leaflet Research Here is a leaflet I researched . This is an example of an informative leaflet about a place to visit called ‘Bollington Discovery Centre’ about the people of that area and learning about the area itself. This leaflet is most likely to be targeted to adults because of the neutral and bland colours used. It uses images to attract the reader yet is informative and has a map for the reader to find the venue. If the leaflets purpose is to promote the centre then livelier colours should be used and the writing of bigger venue so people read the leaflet and it catches their eye. www.heritageinterpretation.co.uk

I can tell who the target audience is because there are bright colours that compliment each other and attractive to the eye. The pictures used are drawn animations which are friendly and pretty. Yet there is information available for the person to read and images for them not to get bored. The leaflet also shows an organised structure and colour scheme where 2 pages our coordinated with the same colour. There is also a form in the leaflet for people to join Oxfam. This is an idea of how I might want to layout my leaflet’s adoption form.

The structure is well organised and laid out so its simple for the reader to read. There’s also not a lot of writing so the reader isn’t bored. The colours used means that it invites both girls and boys to read it. There is also a constant theme throughout the leaflet to show its corporate image.

  5. Research Adoption Form www.docstoc.com This is an example an animal adoption form for a pet dog however this is longer. It is neatly laid out and aligned in boxes for people to write the information or tick it of. There are a range of questions that can be asked but the information I can use for my adoption that will be the same are Name, Date of Birth, Address, Phone number and email. This gives me an indication of how to structure my adoption form and what is vital that I include.

This form also gives me an example of how I must include a payment option for my adoption form whether it be by card or cheque. There is also information about the animal you are adopting by ticking the one you want you can also see how much it costs. To make this adoption form more user friendly it could also have more colour to it by highlighting the boxes in a light green like the logo for a corporate identity.

I can use this form as an example of how my adoption form is targeted to teenagers I want it to be quick and simple to get more teenagers to adopt animals. There is also a section about the pet which I should include in my form for example the name of the species and what group it belongs to just like this form has shown.

It allows you to use the website images as long each image that you use has the text about the legal information. On this information found on the website (shown by the yellow highlighter) it says I can use the image that its copy right free of licence as long as its used in magazines, newspapers, books ect. and are not intended to be sold. It is free charge and as long as its not used as a logo which I am not doing and I will not be selling my publications which means I can use the images.

  11. Feedback Zosia: You are clear to direct the Wildcare Teen members and have included the logo. Bea: You have an eye catching leaflet because there isn’t much writing to attract the teenagers and many images as example of the work of wildcare. Zosia: You have a clear title with the splash you have used in your reports and membership card so you are developing a clear corporate identity. Bea: Although you have used your theme throughout your publications it’s not necessary to include it on every page so this images page would look better without the animated pages and splash in the middle to make the leaflet look more sophisticated for teenagers and less pack. Zosia: There is also a short message you have included to introduce the leaflet to the teenagers and welcomes them which is thoughtful and a good idea for the teenagers to understand what the leaflet is about.

  12. Zosia: I think that the colours you have used go every well together and are appropriate for boys and girls. I would say that you could a little introduction to the teenagers before you mention the adoption schemes. Bea: All the boxes are well aligned which shows the leaflet has a organised layout and is informative for each of the animals include each with their own image.

Improvements made from Feedback I listened to Bea’s advice and I got rid of the splash in the middle of these images to make the leaflet look more organised and sophisticated less childish for teenagers use. Apart from one change I kept everything the same as there were no problems with my designs and I was sticking to my water (splash) and blue theme.

  14. I listened to Zosia’s advice and I included a brief introduction into what the WildCare adoption theme meant and what the trust was doing so the teenagers were given background knowledge and advice to adopt an animal. Everything else I kept the same.

  15. Feedback (Adoption Form) Bea: Your form is neatly aligned and all the important information is included for the person to fill the details in. You have also made sure to include the details about the animal to be adopted and for how long. I would say for the adoption form to be a bit more lively you could add an image or logo that links to your theme. Zosia: Your animal adoption form is neatly laid out and it shows from the adoption forms you researched that you have included the details that you have seen. Everything is well spaced out easy for the person to apply for.

  16. Improved Adoption Form I changed my adoption form my adding the animal footprint seen throughout my publications to divide the sections of my adoption form and add a design to the form.
