Misbah-ul-Haq gives assurance of Mohammad Amir’s International Return Pakistan cricket team head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has recently shared that the door is open for the speedtser Mohammad Amir if he wants to decide to come out of international retirement. Image source by twitter Misbah-ul-Haq has said that Amir will have to give strong performances for the door to be thrown open for him as well. “I was the captain whenMohammad Amir made his comeback in international cricket," Misbah said. “Last year, we took him to England when I was not only the head coach but also the chief selector. He was dropped due to his performances and injuries. Subsequently, he announced his retirement. If he comes out of retirement and performs, then the doors are open for him, like any other player." The former Pakistan captain has also said that the upcoming tours of England and West Indies will give the team enough time and practice matches to prepare well for the mega event - ICC T20 World Cup later this year which is scheduled to take place in India. “I’m taking it (tours to England and West Indies) positively and it’s a great opportunity for me as a coach and for us as a team, which could help us to get better preparation before the World Cup," he said. Pakistan will play three ODIs and as many T20Is, starting July 8, in England. The squad will then tour to West Indies to play five T20Is, starting July 27, and two Tests in Kingston, Jamaica from August 12 as well.

The series against England and West Indies will be a good test case for us to know where we stand before this year’s T20 World Cup," concluded Misbah.
