  2. Prepositions • A preposition is a word that shows the relationship of a noun or a pronoun to some other word in the sentence • Prepositions point out different relationships Geschke/English IV Grammar Unit--Prepositions

  4. Prepositional Phrase • A preposition always introduces a phrase consisting of the preposition, any modifiers and a noun or pronoun. • The noun or pronoun that ends the prepositional phrase is called the object of the preposition. Geschke/English IV Grammar Unit--Prepositions

  10. Assignment • On a separate sheet of paper, please rewrite the following sentences. Number your paper 1-20 and write down each preposition and the object of the prepositional phrase.
