  2. 1 Have a Goal Figure out "why" you want a website. Figuring this out first will affect all the decision you make later. Is your site to make money? Is it for promotional purpose? Is it an informational hub? Etc..

  3. 2 Choose Your Domain Name Choose a domain name (aka-your web address) that matches your name or offer. You might have to search around on a site like xyz.com before you find the perfect domain name. business,

  4. 3 Get Web Hosting Web hosting costs vary wildly and you have a number of options. If you are just starting out you can probably get away with a low cost shared server somewhere like HostGator, Godaddy etc.

  5. 4 Plan: Plan out what basics of what your websites will look like, as well as it will contain. This will obviously change with time, but it is still good to have an idea of what your site will look like.
