Why a Data Warehouse? • The successful Implementation of AIMS Pay for Performance Plan and Mission-Based Management Budgeting, requires quick, accurate, and timely data. • To increase effectiveness of the Business Office accounting centralization, requires accurate and integrated financial data. • To comply with Board of Trustees quarterly budget request requires the ability to forecast and project financial data. • LCME Financial Questionnaire requires integrated financial data. • The list of data requirements are endless…..

  3. Successful AIMS Implementation requiresData: • To align Resources and Effort, we need to compile data. • To apply Metrics, we need to compile data. • To make Decision and Policy, we need to compile data.

  5. HARTROI ( Return on Investment) • The college benefits are: better delivery of information that can be trusted and quickly delivered to support positive business/operation activities. (i.e. - obtain contracts & grants, retain students, faculty & staff, conserve resources…) • Provide historical perspective to determine whether current data points are outliers or indicative of a trend; • Permit deeper analysis and what-if investigations, which are not possible in our current source systems; and • Unify all relevant data and thereby establish a single version of the truth. This requires the integration of our internal, external and third-party data in order to establish a comprehensive view of our operations.
