Cotton Industry Medical Scholarship • This Scholarship is offered by the Gwydir Valley Cotton Growers Association, with generous funding support from Monsanto. • Apply in Y2 • $5,000/year for 3 years • 3 placements over 3 years • For those from a cotton growing region • NB: Recipients are unable to concurrently hold a Bush Bursary and CWA Scholarship or John Flynn Scholarship. • Contact: (02) 8337 8100, students@nswrdn.com.au
NSW RDN RMO Cadetships • 12 places • Domestics students who completed Y12 in NSW • 2 of 3 postgraduate years in a rural base hospital • Albury, Wagga Wagga, Orange, Dubbo, Tamworth • $15,000/year in Y3 and Y4 • Conferences – 2-3 per year • Mentoring/Support • students@nswrdn.com.au
Working Holidays for Undergraduates (HUGS) • 1st and 2nd year medical students from Universities in NSW/ACT • Medical students are given the opportunity to live with a rural GP and their family for 7-10 days. • There is no cost to students for board and meals with the family • Rural Medical Family Network reimburses land travel costs associated with travelling to and from the placement • Applications open all year • www.rmfn.org.au/site/index.cfm?display=3463

ANU Y3 Long Term Rural Placements • Scholarships available for long term rural students • Bega Cheese - $2,000 – 1 available to any rural stream student (last year was a Goulburn student, previous years Bega students) • Australian Rotary Health Scholarships $5,000 – this year only 1 available for a student studying in Goulburn • Mulwaree Trust Scholarship $6,000 – 1 available to any rural stream student in Goulburn Mulwaree shire and surrounding areas (Goulburn or Young nodes only) • NSW Farmers Association Scholarship $500 – 1 available to any rural stream student who is from a rural background (sponsored by Goulburn Branch of the NSW Farmers Association) • NB these are not available for MRBS or RAMUS students
