PU Flooring, or polyurethane concrete floors, have surpassed Epoxy flooring (which had been the “go to” product for many decades). This is due to the lowest cost, widespread availability, and very good all-around performance of urethane concrete systems. Epoxy floor resurfacers and epoxy coatings have numerous drawbacks in food & beverage and certain chemical processing areas, where thermal shock is common.
