  2. Why I decided to go: • Improve my speaking and listening • Gain cultural knowledge • Challenge myself • Have a fun summer • Meet new people What I was worried about: • Being able to understand and interact with people • Not knowing anyone else on the trip

  3. Segovia: • Small Spanish city north of Madrid • Lots of history associated with it

  4. My placement: • Taberna del Volapié – Traditional Spanish bar/restaurant, Bullfighting theme. • Taking orders, making drinks etc. • Alternating morning and afternoon shifts, free food.

  5. My opinions: • Would definitely recommend! • Team leaders were great and a massive help/comfort when we were there • Price isn't that extortionate • Will really boost your confidence speaking • Will improve your cultural knowledge, especially if you've not been to the country a lot • Overall amazing experience.
