European Project - Healthy and Wealthy Together: Migrant Mental and Psychological Problems in Family Rejoining Process

This project, funded under the European Fund for Integration, aims to address the mental and psychological problems faced by migrants during the process of rejoining their families. The Municipality of Milan's Family, School and Social Policy Department offers immigration services to support the social integration of migrants. The project focuses on providing necessary interventions to ensure a smooth and successful family rejoining process.

OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MILAN RECEIVES AROUND 7.000 DEMANDS OF THE REJOIN ONES’ FAMILY The Immigration’s Desk ( S.U.I.) is a control system for the foreigner, if he has all the required qualifications by the law in order to live in Italy.

EVERYTHING IS ORIENTED TO FACILITATE THE INCOMING OF FOREIGNERS TO THE SOCIAL INTEGRATION. 31.07.2010: the 16% of the City/Milan residents are foreigners Foreigners National Average 6.5%

EVENTS OF BORDER LIFE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DEPRESSION, IN THE YOUNG PEOPLE, ARE SITUATIONS CAUSED BY FAILED FAMILY REJOINING PREPARATION: The feasibility of the project, information to get together ARRIVAL: Italian school training, free time after, school-lessons organized, running of family relations. STRENGTHENING: Tools’ arrangement to reach the social integration
