  10. What is God’s Plan?

  11. Ephesians 3:8-10 • Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.

  12. God’s Wisdom • God’s plan has always been for the church to proclaim his wisdom and to dethrone the worldly philosophies and ideologies (Ephesians 3:10) • In this way we are to occupy the high ground on the battle field of ideas, or the “Commanding Heights” as they have been called (see Ephesians 6:11).

  13. God’s Wisdom • The “churches theological values” must “make sense to those beyond its membership” and must be “given expression through secular debate in a language understandable to a broad constituency of people”. • I THINK THAT THIS IS OUR GREAT CHALLENGE!

  14. COMPASSIONATE CAPITALISM “By making wealth our goal, we have succumbed to the idolatry of Mammon about which Jesus warned so strongly Matthew 6:24; (Mills, Jubilee, p217).
