  4. Motivation is #1 • Key to Success • Do better than students that are smart but uninterested. • Natural ability goes only so far • Hard work does not equal motivation

  5. Bored? • Its not all fun or interesting • Change majors • Change colleges • Consider leaving college temporarily or permanently

  6. Choices Have Consequences • Support yourself • Lower paying job • Not the job you really wanted

  7. Ask yourself… • Why am I going to college? • If I don’t succeed in college, what will I do? What is plan B? • In your own words, explain why it’s important to actively engage in your learning.
