  2. About the Author Brian Solis is a published author and one of the great innovators of Social Media and its uses. He is principal of FutureWorks, a business consulting firm that helps to create and change social programs for use by Fortune 500 companies. He also has a blog, BrianSolis.com, which is among the world’s leading business and marketing websites.

  3. What is this book about? Brian writes this book as a guide to helping people understand the importance of social media to their business or brand names. Not only for marketing, but strengthening the base company. Also creating relationships among your customers, so as to reach out to them with products they want/need.

  4. Content • This book contains a foreword by Ashton Kutcher, which was really cool. “We have to Engage to Learn” • There are 26 chapters and a conclusion • Many of the chapters are really interesting such as: • Chapter 1: Social Media Manifesto • Chapter 15: Fusing the Me in Social Media and the We in the Social Web • Chapter 18: The Conversation Prism

  5. How does it hold up? Weaknesses? It’s a bit on the long side (300 pages) It’s definitely geared more toward the business side Strengths? • Very Helpful • Easy to understand • A lot of context & real world applications/examples

  6. In Conclusion, This book is really “engaging” (ha-ha) and if you have the chance or extra time to read it I would definitely suggest it! You’ll learn a lot.
