This proposal outlines the critical need for a comprehensive sex education program in the Lubbock Independent School District (LISD). With alarming statistics highlighting high rates of STIs and teen pregnancies in Texas, it is evident that the current abstinence-only approach is insufficient. Our plan advocates for a holistic program that will equip students with knowledge about safe sex practices, ultimately aiming to reduce STI rates and teen pregnancies while empowering students to make informed decisions about their sexual health.
