  2. What is AFC? • AFC is an acronym that means Advocating For Change. • It is a cross-curricular project between English and social studies that lasts most of the 4th quarter. • You will work on tasks and be assessed in both classes.

  3. What do we do? • You will be assigned a topic. You will develop and answer questions about that topic based on research that you do in class. • You will present your research in a variety of formats.

  4. How do we do it? You’ve already chose topics in social studies class. Your teachers have assigned you to one of your choices. Based on this assignment, you will research the: • Global overview • Home country outlook • Causes • Tried solutions

  5. Where do we start? • Where does everyone start research these days? Wikipedia! • Read the Wikipedia page for your topic and you can build on your research from there.

  8. Where does this information go? Padlet Go to Padlet.com and sign in using your Google account. Create a new wall that contains at least 10 key words from your Wikipedia article, images, graphs, and charts with data relating to your topic.
