  4. Pre-school • It’s optional • From one year old until six or seven years old • Nurseries • Kindergardens • Pre-school • For socialisation before elementary or primary school

  5. Primary school • Basic and compulsory • Lasting for eight years • 7-15 years old • First four years the sistem is one-teacher education, last four years subject teachers

  6. High school • 4 years high schools: - Grammar school - Meddical school - School of Economics - School of Turisme and Catering - Tehnical school - School of science - Industry school

  7. High school • 3 years high schools: - Vocational school - Industry and Trade school - Craft schools

Subjects • All subjects are compulsory except religion and etics • General subjects – croatian language, foreign language, maths, physic, chemistry, history, ethics religion, phical education, information technology • Vocitational subjects ( depend on the future proffesion of studens) - connected to catering, building industry and food industry

School History • The school was founded on 28 February 1887 and started lessons on 2 March 1887 • Since that time it has been offering a variety of vocational training courses • It moved house and was known under different names • However, it has always been predominantly oriented towards trade and industry getting students ready for life and work

Industry and Trade Vocational School3 Year Courses / 4 Year Course Food related trades: Baker, Butcher Building industry trades: Bricklayer, Carpenter, Stonemason, Floor and Wall Tiler, Fibrous Plasterer, Building Machine Operator, Roof Tiler Personal and other services: Hairdresser, Manicurist & Pedicurist, Beautician, Painter and Decorator, Car Polisher, Photographer, Florist 4 Year courses: Building /Architecure Tehnician

  15. Industry and Trade Vocational School Apprenticeship - Two days per week and two Saturdays per month – apprenticeship training with an appointed trade person/specialist

  17. Industry and Trade Vocational School School lessons • - Building/Architecture technicians spend five days at school • taking part in advanced training in Maths, Physics, Building industry subjects and Information Technology
