TCSG Enrollment has Skyrocketed at the 25 TCSG Colleges . . . • Enrollment grew by 46,000 students between FY08 - FY11 • 32% increase in students in three years • 190,000 students enrolled in the 26 TCSG colleges in FY11 • 15 TCSG colleges in Community College Week Magazine lists of 50 fastest-growing two-year colleges in the nation in 2010

Investing in Our Students: The TCSG colleges have added $659 million in new buildings, renovations and equipment over the last six years new classroom & lab construction: $393,000,000new classroom & lab equipment: $129,000,000campus building renovations: $92,000,000 Georgia career academy grants: $45,000,000

  5. HOPE Overview 2011 55.5 percent of HOPE recipients are TCSG students They get 28 percent of HOPE funding

  6. HOPE and TCSG Students • 77% of TCSG students receive HOPE • 91% of those students are on the HOPE Grant • The HOPE Grant funds Certificates and Diplomas • Certificates: four months to one year to complete • Diplomas: eight months to two years to complete

  7. Merging Colleges:Greater student access to a wider range of learning opportunities 2008: 33 colleges 2011: 25 colleges

Articulation(TCSG & GaDOE) • TCSG forwards learning outcomes and blueprints to GaDOE • GaDOE recommends schools and teachers from across the state of Georgia  willing to pilot the Spring Pilot Exams • GaDOE forwards learning outcomes and blueprints to targeted instructors • Targeted instructors should be on “block schedule” • GaDOE Instructors incorporate learning outcomes into curriculum Spring Semester • High School Initiatives Coordinators collaborates with High School Teachers to select a testing date for Spring Semester • High School Initiatives Coordinators collectively test a minimum of 75 students in each program area, Spring Semester • HS Initiatives Coordinators administer pilot exams at high schools no later than May 1, 2012 • CTECS utilize pilot results for analysis and cut scores • Official testing will be launched in Fall 2012

  17. Articulation Degree Delivery Format • All Courses will be delivered fully online • Labs will be delivered either: • Fully Online • Low-Residency Format Concentrated into three Saturdays per semester on SPSU campus • When volume permits, labs may be offered at local TCSG Campuses
