  4. Digital Product Placement – Spot The Difference

  5. Digital Product Placement – Spot The Difference In 2011, digital product placement became a “hot” news item when people noticed a magazine with an ad for the film “Zookeeper” in a rerun of How I Met Your Mother. Ex. Sporting events (yellow lines & billboards)

  6. Mr. Ball & Media Conglomerates

  7. Cross-Promotion A form of marketing where customers of one product or service are targeted with promotion of a related product. In essence, it is a way to attract more customers with less effort. Examples: Oprah talking about her books, magazine, etc., on her show. Two companies working together  mobile network and musician promoting “exclusive ringtones” Tie-ins (i.e. Burger King)

  8. The Greatest Movie Ever Sold In this film, you will learn more about the ideas we discussed over the past few days. When watching the film, you will complete a viewing sheet. On it, there are comprehension questions, as well as deconstruction questions. The deconstruction questions ask you about persuasive techniques seen in the film. In case you forget what they are / mean: Ethos: an appeal to the authority of the presenter Pathos: an appeal to emotion Logos: the use of facts or figures
