  4. Definitions Online courses use technology-assisted instructional techniques to offer learners greater flexibility in an atmosphere that promotes active participatory learning. Hybrid courses blend the best features of in-person and technology-assisted instructional techniques to offer learners greater flexibility in an atmosphere that promotes active participatory learning.
