  1. How to make a puppet

  2. First of all, you will need a piece of newspaper. Second, you will need to make a ball for the head.

  3. If you want to make the head bigger, add another piece of paper. Next, you will put masking tape all around your ball.

  4. Now, you will add some shapes that will be the decorations. Then, you will need to attach the neck with a toilet paper roll.

  5. It is time to make the mixture for the papiermâché. (Mix some white glue with a little bit of water. It should look like milk.) Next, rip the newspaper in little pieces.

  6. After the first layer is dry, you can use newsprint without words for the next layer. Follow the same steps to add at least 3 more layers. (the head will become very strong after 4 or 5 layers.)

  7. here comes the most exciting part, where your puppet comes to life! Now, it is time to start painting! it might be necessary to put two coats of paint to cover the newsprint.

  8. This is my favoritestep! You can pick out the material for the body of your puppet. Please ask an adult to help you sew the body. Once the body is done, you can use a glue gun to attach the neck.
