The WTO Focal Point Meeting in Kathmandu on January 26, 2011, was chaired by the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS) and aimed at supporting Nepal's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Hosted with assistance from GIZ, the meeting facilitated discussions on key bottlenecks, operational planning, and next steps for enhancing capacities in the government and private sector to implement WTO commitments. Stakeholder collaboration and strategic action plans were emphasized to create an efficient business environment in Nepal.
