  1. Prison Conditions in Insein Prison Insein prison has a population 10,000 prisoners. Insein’s capacity is 4,000. “The harsh conditions of Burmese prisons easily qualify as torture. In a notorious incident, pigs were beaten outside Insein prison to drown out the cries of prisoners being beaten within.”

  3. Bo was arrested and questioned for 36 hours by many groups of people • He was moved into a cell 3 by 4 meters • beaten 200 times until he was unconsciousness • Officals said he tried to orgaiaze another demistration • beaten again for 45 cents and a piece of paper
