NETGEAR ROUTER SETUP In order to configure the router, we can follow the steps below: 1.Connect the cable from the internet modem to the router's internet port. 2.Then connect the power cord and turn the router on. 3.Wait for the router lights to get stable. FIRMWARE UPDATE: In order to update the firmware of your router you can follow the steps below: 1.Go to advanced options. 2.Select Administration tab. 3.Then select Upgrade. 4.It will allow checking online if there are any updates available. 5.It will detect the update automatically and start downloading it. 6.Once the firmware is downloaded it will get installed on the router. 7.This process would take around 2-3 minutes to complete. 8.After the update is complete, it will reboot the router once. 9.Every update comes with a lot of security bug fixes and other language pack updates. You can also install the firmware manually on the router. For that you can follow the steps below: 1.Go to the Netgear support website. 2.Enter the model number of the router and select the hardware version of the router. 3.It will give you the options for Downloads for the product. 4.You can download the latest available firmware and save it on your computer. 5.The again you need to open the web page for the router settings. 6.Go to Advanced tab. 7.Select Administration. 8.Then Firmware Upgrade. 9.The under manual upgrade, upload the downloaded firmware file from the computer. 10.And click upgrade to finish installing upgrade.
