  1. Installing Windows Mobile Device Center, Active Sync, and My Mobiler Throughout this slide show there will be hyperlinks (highlighted in blue). Follow the hyperlinks to navigate to the specified Topic or Figure. Hyperlinks will only work when being viewed in a slide show.

  2. Installing If you are running a Windows 7 or Windows Vista machine you will need to install: Windows Mobile Device Center If you are not running either of the operating systems listed above, you will need to install: ActiveSync All systems can run: My Mobiler

  3. Windows Mobile Device Center Depending on the operating system you are running, follow the links below.   4. Click Continue (FIG 1) Scroll down to the bottom of the page Under Alternate Validation Method, click Genuine Windows Validation, Alternate Method. (FIG 2) FIG 1 Windows Mobile Device Center cont. FIG 2

  5. Click Continue (FIG 3) You will get a pop up with the option to click run or save, click on the run button. The Windows Genuine Advantage Screen will appear with a validation code.   6. Click download (FIG 6) You will get a pop up with the option to run or save, click on the run button Once it is done running, you will see the program installing. FIG 6 Windows Mobile Device Center cont.

  7. When it is finished you will receive the windows mobile device center screen. (FIG 7) In order to do a data transfer on the scanner, select “Connect without setting up your device” (FIG 7) You are now connected and able to do a data transfer .   8. Whenever you connect your device the “Set up a partnership” screen will pop up. Always click the x at the top right corner, or select a guest partnership. (FIG 9) There may be another pop up after that tells you about not setting up a partnership, if you get this click on the x at the top right corner. Windows Mobile Device Center cont. FIG 9

  9. To install ActiveSync, go to the following site: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15 Click on Continue (FIG 10) On the next screen click on “No, I do not want to register. Take me to the download”. (FIG 11) Click Continue (FIG 11) FIG 10 ActiveSync FIG 11

  10. Next to Setup, click on the Download button. (FIG 12) A pop up will appear with the option to run or save, click on the run button (FIG 13) ActiveSync will start installing FIG 12 ActiveSync cont. FIG 13

  11. Once the installation is finished, a Microsoft ActiveSync screen that says “connected” will appear. (FIG 14) Whenever the device is connected, the “Set up a partnership” screen will pop up. Always click the x at the top right corner, or select a guest partnership. (FIG 15) There may be another pop up after that tells you about not setting up a partnership, if you get this click on the x at the top right corner. FIG 14 ActiveSync cont. FIG 15

  12. Go to http://mymobiler.com/ Click Windows Mobile at the top of the screen. Under download click on MyMobiler v1.25 (setup)(100121) A pop up will appear with the option to run or save, click the run button. MyMobiler will start it’s installation, follow the prompts. FIG 16 MyMobiler FIG 17

  13. Once the installation is finished you will notice a new icon on your tool bar in the bottom right corner. If the scanner is connected to the computer it will have a blue center. If it is not connected it will have a white center. (FIG 18 ) Double click on this icon and you will notice that the screen of the scanner will appear on the computer screen. (FIG 19) If the icon on the bottom of the screen disappears there is a folder on the desktop called My Mobile, open the folder, and double click on the application. MyMobiler cont. FIG 18 FIG 19
