This study investigates the influence of smartphones on the academic performance of RI Year 1 students. We conducted surveys with 20 students, primarily our classmates and CCA peers, to assess how smartphones affect learning. Key objectives included evaluating the effectiveness of educational smartphone applications and their role in improving study habits and exam preparation. Additionally, we interviewed Mrs. Lorraine Neo, a computer studies teacher, to gain expert insights on smartphones’ educational value. Our findings aim to provide guidance on integrating technology into academic practices.
