  2. Please stand for the pledge: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

  3. Please remain standing for the Texas Pledge: Honor the Texas flag: I pledge allegiance to thee Texas, one state, under God, one and Indivisible. Please be seated for a moment of silence

  4. Congratulations Lady Eagles Track Team on an awesome track season! All Girls Track Team Members:  please plan to stay after school on Wednesday until 5:30 PM for our End-Of-Season Social.  Bring your track bag, uniform, and sweats to the meeting to return.  Also, if you still wish to purchase our Track shirt, bring $17.  

  5. Want to show off your favorite hat! This Friday is your last chance! Donate $2 to the Leukemia Society this week and you could be sporting your favorite hat during school! Remember no inappropriate or suggestive pictures or language, it must be school appropriate!

  6. This is it! Only one week to go with our Pasta for Pennies campaign, and every donation makes a difference. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. By raising funds, our school helps families who need LLS’s Patient Financial Aid program. Yearly, this can help pay for medicines, the doctor or other treatment-related expenses. How many families will we help through Pasta for Pennies? Remember every penny counts!

  7. Every four minutes, another child or grown up will be diagnosed with a blood cancer. Remember, your efforts are helping local kids with cancer and funding research around the world to find cures. The sky is the limit! Did you know that it would take 270 billion pennies stacked up to tower 238,857 miles to the moon! Keep up your great work and generosity with Pasta for Pennies! Remember every penny counts!

  8. YEARBOOKS Yearbooks are on sale in the front office for $30. Please see Ms. Bartay to purchase yours today. Remember there will be a yearbook signing party at the end of the year, and only those who purchase yearbooks will get to attend.

  9. Hey 7th Graders! Our Next Popcorn Party for Most Outstanding and Most Improved Students is coming up very soon!  Your Family Leaders are already taking nominations from your teachers so make sure you are doing your very best so that you are invited to come party with us during 8th period!

  10. Soccer Team Tryouts will continue this Thursday and Friday until 6pm.  Be sure to attend or let Coach Becerra or Barton know if you cannot.  Team rosters will be posted by next week.

  11. In France, a person who is fooled on April 1st is called “April Fish.” Chocolate fish are the treats for the day. In the US long ago people poured chocolate over pieces of cotton on April 1st to fool others with “cotton candy.”
