Innovation driven developments EU funds, FP6–National Development Plan Enables Hungary to catch up with advanced member states in several areas in 10 years This requires an effective development policy Hungarian Information Society Strategy /MITS / serves to fulfill the tasks described above The success of this transformation to the IS and knowledge based economy is vital to our future Vision of the IS strategy

Developing the Information Society Strategy for the Government Supporting Hungary’s EU accession: Taking an active role in EU Information Society programs ( eEurope+, eEurope 2005 ) Preparing the National Development Plan’s sections dealing with the Information Society Making steps to bring Hungary to the level of EU countries Contributing to the EU priority of making EU the most competitive region of the world by 2010 Information Society Main Tasks
