Single Use Plastics

Single-use plastics are a significant environmental concern, outnumbering sea life by six to one and comprising 90% of ocean trash. From plastic bags taking 1,000 years to decompose to bottles lingering for centuries, the urgent need for change is clear. Possible solutions include public education, local cleanup events, and the adoption of reusable products. San Francisco serves as a case study with an 80% diversion rate from landfills. By raising awareness and implementing better recycling practices, we can combat plastic pollution and protect our planet.
