  42. Administrative issues - Extension of the project PO has discussed the request for extension of the EIE-05-124 REMODECE project with the EACI hierarchy. The EACI agrees only in exceptional cases to a project extension. “ The EC understand that due to the delayed data monitoring and survey you would like to extend the REMODECE project by 4 months to be on the safe side but this is not a sufficient duly justified case to agree to a project extension for the agency. Recommendation: Make any effort to finish the data monitoring and survey latest until end of April 2008 and to focus on finishing the other deliverables, including the important communication and dissemination on the REMODECE database and software tool, latest until end of June 2008 (end of project). The detailed schedule and to-do-list for the remaining period of the project should be a main discussion point for your upcoming project meeting.”

Interim Payment February 24, 2008: Project Officer Message: “EACI has approved the Interim Technical Implementation Report, Financial department will process with the next steps according to article I.5.2 of the grant agreement. Please take all recommendations in consideration that you will receive by fax in due time from our head of unit, Vincent Berrutto.”

To-dos • Completion of the collection of the 500 questionnaires • Completion of the monitoring campaign to reach 100 households per country • Database update, as more results are achieved • Common analysis of the survey/measurement campaigns and common conclusions (WP5) • Set of policy recommendations and strategies for market transformation (WP6) • Release of final version software tool • Translation of the software tool “energy toolbox”, for each national language. • Preparation and translation of the Brochure: Electric Appliance Energy Guide • Organization of the national workshops • Preparation of papers to be published in technical journals or trade publications in each country, focusing the main results of the project. • Preparation of a 100 pages report in English (electronic and hardcopy), with the key results of the project. This publication was not foreseen in the contract, and is proposed be carried out under the common dissemination activities. 100 copies per partner will be issued.
